Written by yours truly, and directed by Samuel Dore. Supersonic is a movie about a deaf kid who discovers he has a power inherited from his estranged father…who has returned back into his life…
I originally wrote the script while I was at film school, and one day while browsing Twitter I saw a tweet from Samuel. I think he was simply looking for a script to work on, so I submitted it. He saw potential in it, and together we rewrote it according to two criteria: my protagonist (and other characters) would become deaf in the rewrite, and we would tone down the adult edge, as the film was to be funded by BSL Zone.
It was a great process, Sam was a pleasure to work with. Here is a link to the film, don’t forget to enable subtitles.
