Bite-size thoughts of the week.

People got pissy at me this week because I compared del Toro’s Pacific Rim trailer to Michael Bay’s Transformers movies.  They’re both full of CGI and razor-thin story!  I’m just criticising the trailer for the moment, that’s all!

Chris Nolan taking over Spielberg for Interstellar!  Yes!  Lots of amazing sci-fi coming our way:  Gravity, Oblivion, Elysium, being the ones I’m most excited about.

Dan Trachtenberg is going to direct an adaptation of Y: The Last Man.  Awesome news, very happy for the dude.  If you don’t know wtf I’m talking about, then go find the graphic novel and thank me later.
